Nucleus Green - Youth Climate Education Initiative

Empowering Young Environmental Leaders Through Sustainability Education

The Initiative

Young people often understand climate challenges but feel powerless to make a difference, receiving conflicting messages about their ability to create meaningful change. The Nucleus Green initiative addressed this gap by developing targeted sustainability education programs specifically designed for 11-13-year-olds, transforming environmental awareness into actionable knowledge and empowerment.

Our Founder's Impact

Filip Manjevic founded and led Nucleus Green, bringing his passion for environmental education and youth empowerment to Swedish schools. Drawing on his understanding of how young people learn and engage with complex issues, he developed an educational approach that helped students recognize their potential as future consumers, voters, and environmental leaders.

Educational Approach

The program delivered interactive workshops that made sustainability concepts accessible and relevant to young learners. Rather than overwhelming students with global problems, the initiative focused on practical solutions and individual agency, helping participants understand how small actions contribute to larger environmental impact while building confidence in their ability to drive positive change.

Results Achieved

  • 1,000+ students reached through comprehensive workshop programs
  • 20 schools engaged across Sweden through the educational initiative
  • Sustainable mindset development among participants who learned to see themselves as part of the solution
  • International recognition with presentations at conferences showcasing innovative approaches to youth climate education
