Budapest Democracy & Transatlantic Relations Program

Building Youth Leadership in International Relations and Democratic Engagement

The Initiative

Young Europeans often lack opportunities to engage with complex international relations topics and democratic processes in meaningful ways. This program addressed the gap by creating an immersive educational experience focused on EU-US transatlantic relationships, volunteerism, and democratic participation for high school students across Europe.

Our Co-Founder's Leadership

Eleftherios Lazarinis co-developed the comprehensive curriculum and program structure alongside international partners, demonstrating exceptional project management and diplomatic engagement. He secured funding from 10 US embassies across participating countries, coordinated with the US Embassy in Budapest, and built strategic partnerships with professors and business leaders to deliver high-quality educational content.

Educational Approach

The program brought together participants from across Europe for intensive workshops and seminars led by academic and industry experts. Through collaborative learning experiences, students explored democratic governance, international diplomacy, and transatlantic cooperation while developing leadership skills and cross-cultural understanding essential for future civic engagement.
